2 Ways to Qualify for Membership
Select Employee Group:
Denali Alaskan is a federally chartered non-profit cooperative. Who are our members? Our Field of Membership is comprised of approximately 560 businesses and associations which are referred to as Select Employee Groups (SEGs). It is the employees and/or members of these businesses and associations and their family members, that make up Denali Alaskan’s Field of Membership.
If you are an employee or member of any of the listings below, you’re eligible to join! You can apply for membership on-line by completing the Membership Application Form or by visiting one of our convenient branch locations.
Click here for a handy “switch kit” to help you move your accounts, or insure a smooth transfer of payment options, to Denali Alaskan. The switch kit contains:
1) Step-by-step instructions on how to use the kit
2) Request to change Automatic Withdrawal –give this to any company which makes automatic withdrawals from your old financial institution, to make sure you can switch these payments to Denali Alaskan
3) Request to Close Account – give to your current financial institution
4) Request to Change Payroll Direct Deposit – give to your employer
5) 24/7 Access information – info on the convenience services offered by Denali Alaskan
E-statement Election – give this form to Denali Alaskan if you’d like to get e-statement notices, rather than paper copies of your statement, every month. You must be signed up for Personal Computer Banking in order to receive E-Statements.

Alaska Investment Areas:
If a person cannot qualify for membership via any of Denali Alaskan’s Select Employee Groups, there is another way to qualify – through Denali Alaskan’s Investment Areas. These Investment Areas are regions that Denali Alaskan had applied for permission, via the National Credit Union Administration, to serve the people who live, work, worship or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities, located in the prescribed geographic area/s. Permission was granted based on certain census data and other criteria from the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI).
