Summertime Fun: Community events in Cheyenne this month

July is looking to be an exciting month in Cheyenne. From concerts and live shows to all the events surrounding the ever-popular Cheyenne Frontier Days, you’ll have no problem finding something interesting nearby. Here is our list of the top events happening this month:

Fridays on the Plaza

When: July 5th – August 30th, 2019
Where: Historic Depot Plaza (1 Depot Square, Cheyenne, WY)
Cost: Free

This free 13-week-long concert series is open to the community. Every Friday, a few bands will play starting at 5:30 and ending around 8:30. Come out and enjoy the fun! To find out what band is playing next, visit here.

Cheyenne Frontier Days

When: July 19-28th, 2019
Where: Cheyenne Frontier Days (4610 Carey Avenue, 1210 W 8th Ave, Cheyenne, WY)

The world’s largest outdoor rodeo is located right in Cheyenne, WY. Since 1897, Cheyenne Frontier Days has been the center of Western celebration. This ten-day festival features the world’s best rodeo action, Western entertainment, concerts, pancake breakfasts, parades, and more! Families will have a blast on the rides, live melodrama and gunslinger re-enactment shows, and exhibits at the Carnival Midway. You won’t want to miss out on this massive celebration.

Walk in the Woods Tour

When: July 5, 2019 at 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Where: New Belgium Brewing Company (500 Linden Street, Fort Collins, CO)
Cost: Tickets starting at $55

Walk through the New Belgium facilities and learn how the finest wood-aged sour beers are made on this two-hour tour. Guests will learn about the history and evolution of New Belgium’s program. They’ll also have an opportunity to taste exclusive sour beers straight from the wood barrels.

Jason Burge @ Cheyenne Botanic Gardens

When: July 11th, 2019 at 5:30 pm
Where: Cheyenne Botanic Gardens (710 S Lions Park Dr)
Cost: $10

Spend an evening listening to the music of Jason Burge, singer, songwriter, and Wyoming CMA finalist. The concert will be held outdoors, so attendees should be sure to bring their own chairs and seating. There will be beer and malt beverages available for purchase, along with multiple food truck options.

Norah Jones in Concert @ Cheyenne Civic Center

When: July 14th, 2019 at 8:00 pm
Where: Cheyenne Civic Center (510 W 20th St, Cheyenne, WY)
Cost: Tickets starting at $59.50

Norah Jones, the 9-time GRAMMY winning singer-songwriter, is coming to Cheyenne. Her songs weave together country, folk, rock, soul, and jazz to create a unique sound. This concert will feature her newest music and recently released singles.

Colter Wall Concert

When: July 19, 2019 at 7:00 pm
Where: Washington's (132 Laporte Ave, Fort Collins, CO)
Cost: Tickets starting at $25

Enjoy a night of good music with Colter Wall. This concert will feature his newest project, a combination of original folk songs, outside cuts, and traditional songs that reflect his roots growing up.

Wild West Airshow

When: July 24th, 2019 from 8 am - 4 pm
Where: 153rd Airlift Wing (217 Dell Range Blvd, Cheyenne, WY)
Cost: Free

Witness aerial and ground demonstrations along with static aircraft and military equipment displays at the Wild West Airshow. The Wyoming Air National Guard will do demonstrations throughout the day. There will also be food vendors and special activities for kids in attendance.

Tim Hawkins @ Cheyenne Civic Center

When: July 27th, 2019 at 7:30 pm
Where: Cheyenne Civic Center (510 W 20th St, Cheyenne, WY)
Cost: Tickets starting at $29
