Visit the oldest and largest Haunted House attraction in Anchorage. Since it’s founding in 1985, the Fright Nite Manor has been spooking people across the city with 3-D rooms, clowns, mazes, and 10,000 square feet of terrifying scenes from famous horror movies. The Fright Nite Manor will make your Halloween a true adventure—if you dare to enter.

Families from all over Anchorage gather each year at the Alaska Zoo for a fun night of trick-or-treating through the zoo trails. Local sponsors will host giveaways, and kids can expect to receive a lot of candy. This fun event is perfect for all ages.

Enjoy a fun and educational experience at the museum in celebration of Halloween. Learn at story time in the dome or a special planetarium program. Get in the spirit of the day with costumes and trick-or-treating in the galleries. Guests will later be invited for music, cookies, and “witches brew” in the atrium, and will receive candy bags when they exit.

You never know what might be creeping around the corner at this time of year. Brave souls who with for an exciting night are invited to take a short Halloween themed hike through Sandpiper Trail. They’ll trek through the scenic trails in costume while enjoying warm beverages, trick-or-treating, and the thrills of this spooky night. For little ones who don’t enjoy the scares, a Not So Spooky Trail will be open from 6pm-7pm.

Where: UAF Museum of the North (1962 Yukon Dr, Fairbanks, AK)
The University of Alaska, Fairbanks museum is once again opening its doors to the public on Halloween. Guests can see bugs, bats, bones, and birds; chat with staff about the collections; and sport their best costumes. Admission is free, but attendees should bring a canned food donation for the Fairbanks Community Food Bank.

Keep Halloween going the next day by bringing your costume to the Alaska Nanooks vs. Bemidji State hockey game and participating in some special Friday trick-or-treating. Local youth organizations have partnered together to pass out candies to costumed trick-or-treaters. All ages are invited to participate.

Where: Kenai Peninsula College (156 College Rd, Soldotna, AK)
This popular campus tradition will once again be happening this Halloween. The public is invited to join in on a night of trick-or-treating at Kenai Peninsula College. Families can travel from office to office, receiving free candy in a fun and safe environment.

If you’re looking for a thrill on Halloween, The Ghost Train is the place to be. It’s like what you’d expect from a haunted house, only with the added excitement of a train. Two trips will take place during the night. For younger children, there will be a G rated adventure from 5-6. For teens and adults looking for a real scare, there will be a PG-13 rated version from 7-9 pm. Guests will each receive a goodie bag and have the option of purchasing espresso or waffles.
